Current license window: July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2026. Next window: July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2029. Every broker license expires at the end of that window unless renewed. You must finish 12 hours of continuing education per year. Each “CE cycle” runs July 1 – June 30. Complete 12 hours by June 30 each year. New brokers and managing brokers have special requirements. New brokers must complete 30-hours of post-licensing courses within two years of their license date. This requirement is not based on the renewal cycle, but on your exact licensing date. Managing Brokers’ 12 hours of continuing education per year must include four hours specific to Managing Brokers. RECP includes the four required CE hours specific to Managing Brokers in your member-benefit CE package. NAR requires Fair Housing and Code of Ethics courses every three years. Both courses are part of your 2026 Member Benefit CE package. The current three-year cycle is January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027. These are included in the 2026 Member Benefit CE package, and will be available in your portal until Dec. 31, 2027.
